Where Do the Photos Come From?

The photographs that constitute the MITHP Photo Database are historical images of Indigenous tuberculosis history in Manitoba. Digitized copies were made of original photos that were loaned to the project by the Manitoba Lung Association. These images form the core of our collection, but the MITHP team has gathered photos of Indigenous TB history from private collections and archives across Canada. We bring these images together in our Photo Database. Below, we explain the context for each set of images in the database.
