The entrance to Clearwater Lake Hospital. The front gate walls, sign, flagpole and front of the building are visible. There is snow piled up on the ground and the area for cars is packed with snow. There is no flag on the flagpole in front of the building. The building itself is one storey with many windows and stretches from one side of the photograph to the other. Two smokestacks are visible from behind the building in the PL half of the image. Trees are visible in the very back of the image.

From original archive: In February 1962, Don Reynolds, a staff photographer from the Saint Joseph Museums in St. Joseph, Missouri, USA visited The Pas, Manitoba with the then Director, Roy Coy, on a flora specimen gathering trip. Mr. Reynolds took a series of wonderful journalistic quality black and white photos and created a photobook of his visit, a photobook that the Sam Waller Museum now has in its collection. Images cover the Trappers' Festival, Dog Derby and TB patients at the Clearwater Lake Hospital. What is of particular note with regards to these photographs is that all of the Clearwater Lake Hospital patients are identified by name, home location and various other unique bits of information. The images remained with the photographer and the Museum until his death. Following his death the images were deemed to be unrelated to the Saint Joseph Museums mandate. It was at this point that the Sam Waller Museum was contacted and the photographs accepted in the Museum's permanent collection.
